FALL Craft Patterns & Vintage Pretties

I've added a few more items to my eBay auctions and have several more already scheduled to start Sunday night.

I have several craft patterns and booklets ~ including cross-stitch, wool and wool felt applique, penny rugs ~ that I never used or only used once. I also have lots of vintage pretties that need to go. They aren't doing me any good sitting in a drawer or box unseen, so maybe someone else will enjoy them. If you like Shirley Temple, vintage wearable needlework, or old make-up items, be sure to check it out here.

Thanks for looking!

Is this your relative? updated

As promised, I have a few more photos from the 127 Sale. I spent all day from about 9:30 - 3:30 just in the Jamestown, TN area. I only stopped at about 1/3 of the sales. Next year I guess I'll have to make a week of it!

Below is part of the bypass south of Jamestown. It was somewhat easier to park here and walk up and down to road to all of the sales. I stopped at several individual sales at private homes, but the parking was a bit difficult at times.

I'll have a few more photos add by this afternoon...

Do you see a relative? Most of the photos I bought were from the mid-west.

This is just a tiny sample of the old photographs I bought at the 127 Sale this year. I found a box of photographs ~ more than 200 of them! There were 97 cabinet card photos and the rest were 1930 and older. I was so thrilled to happen upon this treasure box!

I'll post photo of a few more finds tonight or tomorrow...

VINTAGE aprons, perfume bottles, bonnets, etc.

If anyone is interested in these types of items, please visit my eBay auctions. I'm thinning out my collections, many of which have been in boxes instead of on display, and will be listing every few days over the next few months. If by chance you forget my ebay ID (honeysucklelane), just go to my website where I will keep an active link to my auctions.

Thanks for looking!

I'll do my best to get some photos (hint, hint) of my 127 Sale finds on this weekend.

15 Minutes of Fame...

Well, it may last all day, but not much longer I should think.
I was just browsing some of my bookmarked sites and see that Early American Life has my little bio on their homepage. Thank you EAL! You may read it here.
Update: Artists are rotated daily I think, so now when you click on the link you will have the pleasure of reading about many wonderful artists chosen for the Directory.
Another update: Some of you have emailed me asking about the bio. It was just a small piece they had on there, but you may see it here now. Thank you for asking!

And What Do You Know!

I was tagged by Blondie of Vintage Primitives for the You're a Doll award! Blondie and I have known each other for a few years online, but had lost track of one another for a while. I was so happy to find her blog recently ~ SHE is such a doll!

I'd like to tag Heather of Cottage in the Meadow, she has a beautifully serene blog, and a little birdie told me that she is fond of dolls...

Niceness X 2!

I was presented with the Nice Matters award by Nancy Malay & Doreen Frost (update: Sylvia Anderson chose me today~ Thanks Sylvia!). I should turn right around and present the award to these wonderful ladies because they are so kind and write the sweetest emails. They have asked me to choose 5 - 7 more bloggers for this award as well. Since I was chosen for this award twice yesterday, I'll take the liberty of awarding to a few more bloggers than suggested and in turn, will those of you that are chosen please pick 5 of your own to receive this very "NICE" award:
* The Primitive Gathering ladies, yes ALL of you! This is such a kind, caring, supportive group ~ there's no way I could pick just one. You may click on the link for the TPG group blog, then visit each individual by clicking on the links on the left of that page.
* Diane Allison-Stroud ~ What a sweetheart she has been to me since we "met"!
* Donna of The Ribboned Crown ~ Ever so kind, taking time to comment on my blog when I know she must be busy creating all those enchanting crowns.
* Steph of Once Upon a Notion ~ When has she ever NOT been nice? She's a wonderful person to know.
Please be sure to visit these dear ladies ~ I'm sure you will enjoy your time spent getting to know them.

"Better one byrde in hande than ten in the wood."

This variation of the proverb "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" is attributed to John Heywood, the 16th century collector of proverbs. He recorded this version in a book in 1546.

This is my last piece until later this fall. Look for it on my eBay auction beginning tonight @ 8pm central.

Thank you!
